Accidents and Personal injury claims
Injuries caused by the deliberate or negligent acts of a person or corporate
body or as a result of a breach of a statutory duty, for example employers
liability, normally give rise to a claim for damages. The amount of these
damages will vary depending on the severity of the injuries, the actual
financial loss sustained such as loss of earnings, and the degree of impairment
of future earning capacity.
We can advise you as to whether your injuries are likely to give rise to a
claim and if so to the merits and possible value of that claim.
Negotiations can then be commenced (usually with an insurance company) to
achieve a satisfactory settlement. If that is not possible we can commence
proceedings on your behalf which may ultimately result in the matter being
decided by a court.
Public funding is no longer normally available for such cases,
but we can advise you of the alternative methods, which include private fee
arrangements, before or after event insurance and no win no fee arrangements
depending on your individual circumstances.

Society panel for personal injury work.
